Members of the Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet, a group of prominent area restaurants, recently served food and handed out gifts at Life Navigators in Wauwatosa as part of the group’s “3 Days of Christmas.” Check out the attached slideshow put together by Milwaukee Business Journal freelance photographer Kenny Yoo to see photos of the event.

The event was part of the group’s third annual “3 Days of Christmas,” during which Milwaukee-area restaurant operators, including SURG Restaurant Group, Marcus Hotels & Resorts, 600 East Cafe, Saz’s Hospitality, and Calderone Club, provided food and gifts to area nonprofits. The group also served meals at Neighborhood House of Milwaukee and The Cathedral Center.

In all, the group served meals and provided gifts to more than 500 people. Prominent restaurant executives involved in the initiative included Peggy Williams-Smith of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, Omar Shaikh of SURG, Gino Fazzari of Calderone Club, and Jill Ruffing of 600 East Café.

Corporate sponsors for the event included Associated Bank, Gruber Law Offices, Mueller QAAS, Visit Milwaukee, Phoenix Investors, Milwaukee Bucks, and Milwaukee Brewers.

“We continue to partner with the Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet in their mission of helping those in need,” said Phoenix Investors Chairman & Founder Frank P. Crivello. “Initiatives like the ‘3 Days of Christmas’ are integral to supporting local communities and families that need a helping hand. We encourage others to join our support in providing assistance.”
